Wings are one of the easiest cozy game-day foods, and a two-basket air fryer makes them even simpler. This is how we make them at home: a garlic and lemon pepper marinade, a short rest in the fridge, and about 25 minutes in the air fryer.

What you need

Step 1: Marinate in a bag

Put the wings in a large zip-top bag. Add garlic, seasonings, oil and the juice of half a lemon. Seal, shake, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to overnight. A bag means less mess and less cleanup.

Step 2: Air fry in two baskets

Pat the wings dry for crispier skin and spread them in a single layer, split between both baskets. Air fry at about 380°F for 20 to 25 minutes, shaking or flipping halfway, until golden and crispy. Use Match Cook so both baskets run the same settings.

Food safety: chicken is safe when it reaches 165°F inside. Check the thickest wing with a food thermometer. Times vary by air fryer and wing size.

Step 3: Finish and serve

Toss the hot wings with a squeeze of fresh lemon and the green onions. Serve with celery, carrots and a dip. For a full game-day spread, cook fries or veggies in the second basket.

Ninja Foodi 8-Qt DualZone 2-Basket Air Fryer (DZ201)

Best for game day, families and cooking two things at once

Two separate baskets mean wings in one and fries or veggies in the other, and the Smart Finish button helps both finish at the same time. At home we use the Ninja DZ100, a 4-in-1 DualZone model, and this 6-in-1 DZ201 is one of the most popular versions on Amazon.

The wings in our photos were made in our own Ninja DZ100, which is a close sibling of this model, not this exact one. Check the listing for size and functions before you buy.

Air Fryer Parchment Liners for 2-Basket Fryers

Best for faster cleanup after sticky wings

Disposable liners catch drips and sauce so the baskets are easier to wash. Use them only as the instructions say, and never preheat with an empty liner, since it can blow into the heating element.
